Learning My ABC’s

Middle Little is the most energetic creature I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. Her thirst for knowledge is the only thing that rivals her energy level. She’s been wanting to learn to sew (sit on my lap while I sew) for ages, so this weekend, she did.

We found the perfect project, an alphabet quilt using the free patterns from the Spell it With Moda Blog Hop from a few years ago.  http://blog.modafabrics.com/2014/02/spell-it-with-fabric-setting-directions/

It took a lot of hunting and gathering to get all the patterns, but each and every blog the hop brought me to was impressive, and I would recommend it to everyone.

With three girls, and another on the way in the Spring, I’m hoping to finish four of these.

Here’s the start of two. I used jelly rolls for the letters, and yardage for the background. They come together really quickly and the kids already love playing with the blocks.
